After spending a long time seeking meaning and change in my life, and curious about the potential of the human body, I became fascinated by how the mind and body could combine to promote mental and physical well-being.

Yoga Practice

Hatha yoga

Hatha usually serves as a gentle introduction to the basic poses of yoga. It refers to any type of yoga that teaches physical poses and places special emphasis on controlled breathing and posture.

Vinyasa Yoga

Often called flow yoga, Vinyasa is a style of yoga which focuses on transitions and movements, with less time spent in stationary poses. Poses link together with breath in a variety of flowing sequences.

Finding Balance & Peace

I know that it can be daunting starting something new, and especially to have someone in your home, but from your first class you will feel totally at ease and safe in the space I create for you to start your yoga practice.

Donna introduced my wife and I to yoga practice over two years ago during a stressful and challenging time.  I was one of many parents struggling with home schooling during the  COVID-19 pandemic  and my wife was dealing with the consequences in her role working for the NHS.  We were in need of a distraction from our daily routine and decided to contact Donna to start our yoga journey.

From the first day Donna came across as very knowledgeable and capable, and we knew we were in good hands.  Donna started by taking us through the basics of breathing and some simple postures to get us going.  This built up slowly over time to the point where progression always felt like the natural next step with nothing ever forced into too high a gear.

Donna’s methods have helped me personally to overcome feelings of doubt and brought the realisation that really anything is possible with a positive mindset and the right breathing!

With her dedicated approach to good yoga practice, her determination to see you succeed, coupled with a great sense of humour, Donna Barton is a highly recommended yoga instructor.
